We love our life! Our jobs feel like fun rather than work most days...Joe is a firefighter and I am a middle school math teacher. We have the most supportive and fun families and friends you could ever ask for! And we live in beautiful Colorado with the funniest, sweetest little humans on the planet.
The name "Team Sims" came from back when we first got married and realized this thing wasn't going to work if we weren't first and foremost committed to each other and our family of 2. We couldn't put jobs, parents, families, or friends ahead of our spouse. Our loyalty had to be to one another, and it became our "home team" mentality. This concept has helped us in times when we find ourselves taking on too much outside our family, worrying about what others think too much, or becoming distant. Now that Team Sims has grown to four members, it is even more important for us to be intentional with the focus on our family.
Of course, "every good and perfect gift is from above," and we know we are nothing without the love and grace of our Saviour. Christ died for us and has offered us this beautiful life that is not any of our doing. We are grateful "His mercies are new every morning"...cause we need them!
